Athens, my beloved city of history and culture, is also a playground of family adventures. My kids grew up in Athens and, quite frankly, we love staying in the city for Easter vacation. The city is not very busy and the weather is always pleasant. There is also a lot to do during Greek Easter. In this post, I will list the Easter activities for kids in Athens this year.
Easter Activities for Kids in Athens

If you’re in Athens, the Easter festivities are not to be missed. Greek Orthodox Easter is the stuff that myths are made of: age-old fasting rituals, candle-lit processions, lambs whirling on a spit and fireworks at midnight. Many Athenians head for their home village on the islands or in the countryside. But in many ways Greek Easter can be an even richer experience if you spend it in Athens. My best Easter experience is at the Lyabettus Hill watching the fireworks over the Acropolis at midnight.
