Welcome to another edition of Meet the Locals. Today we meet Eleanna Paschou in Athens. Eleanna organizes workshops in Athens for kids.
I first met Eleana in 2014, when my kids participated in one of her interactive workshops in the Acropolis Museum. I liked her work with the children a lot, and my family is an enthusiast of her workshops in Athens since.

Tell us more about yourself!
I am Eleana Paschou and I have been born and raised in Athens. I am a trained advertiser, marketeer and event manager. Directly after my graduation I travelled around Greece for the production of a documentary on Greece for Lonely Planet. In 2003, I toured the world for the production of ERT Olympic Trophy as the production director that was made in sight of the Olympic Games. During the last 15 years I have worked in ERT and MEGA channel in the production of TV shows, as well as production agencies for advertisements and concerts.
I dedicate my free time to seminars on child psychology, storytelling, puppet play, theatre and yoga. I enriched my skills graduating from the Pedagogical Department of XYNI School and worked in Porto Elounda Resorts in Crete for two years managing the children’s department. I lived for two years in Geneva and attended Distance Learning Course on Montessori Educational System. In Geneva, I worked with Montessori teachers and in summer camps of various schools. Later I worked with children in Paris and I was teaching with Cayetana Rodenas for the large European cities. Returning to Greece, I designed workshops in Athens for kids.
In Greece, I also worked as an Event Manager & Executive Producer for kids in a variety of projects. I have been responsible for children festivals and storytelling festivals in municipalities around Greece and resorts. This is something I also enjoy a lot.
Tell us more about your current workshops?
The last couple of years, inspired by the Swiss educational system, I have designed interactive workshops in Athens for kids for the Acropolis Museum and the Ancient Agora. These workshops are for children aged 4-6 yeas old and 7-19 years old. I also do this with teens. I love executing these programs and I do this for local children and for foreign visitors to Athens in English and Greek.
Plans for the future?
I am planning to expand this program to two more Museums in Athens with a different subject. Stay tuned because it will be very exciting!
